Baskin Robbins in Louisville is having a Derby event FREE!
In celebration of Derby fun and festivities, Baskin-Robbins presents, Derby Dips, a fun, family ice cream event that keeps charity in mind. Derby Dips will take place, Thursday, April 28, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at 9407 Westport Road and feature family fun, giveaways and ice cream tastings of ice cream and traditional Baskin-Robbins ice cream cakes. Some of the featured Derby fun flavors will be Jockey Sweets, Run for the Red Roses, Mint Chocolate Chip Jubilee and more.
Kathy Pleasant, owner of Baskin-Robbins wanted to host this first time event to get involved in the Derby festivities and give back to charity. Not only can guests enjoy great-tasting ice cream, they are invited to bring in gently used Derby hats for local charity, Cancer Research Centers, which benefits patients fighting against all types of cancer. “I know people love the Derby and ice cream, so why not combine the two with a fun, family event,” says Pleasant. “We want to showcase our authentic, delicious ice cream flavors while giving back a little something to our friends battling with breast cancer and other cancers,” adds Pleasant. Derby Dips kicks off at the Westport Road location with the one-day event. The event is free and open to the public and customers can bring in hats until May 8th.
